    • Examples: working at a chemical plant, growing up on a farm (pesticides), living in an older home (mold)
  • Re-examine the role of past traumaticevents that inhibit healthrestoration
  • Discussion regarding current symptoms–seeking to identifyowhen the problem was triggered owhat makes symptoms worseohow we can initiate the healing process
  • Extensive head-to-toe physical examination
  • Laboratory blood work oBring any recent blood work and/or diagnostics reports from other providers to the appointment.
  • Development of an individual care plan

Follow-up Consult

Follow-up consultations last approximately 30 minutes. Since all patients are unique and present with varying health concerns, AIM tailors each follow-up visitbased upon the individual care plan. If laboratory bloodwork was conducted at the initial appointment, a thorough discussion of findingswill be conducted.

Patients are encouraged to ask questions and fully understand their medical care and treatment plan.As an educator at heart…It is NOT sufficient for patients to merely take a supplement or prescription, they MUSTalsounderstandthe pathophysiologyand rationale behind the decision.

It is often thought that medicine is the curative process. It is no such thing; medicine is the surgery of functions, as surgery proper is that of limbs and organs. Neither can do anything but remove obstructions; neither can cure; nature alone cures. Surgery removes the bullet out of the limb, which is an obstruction to cure, but nature heals the wound. So it is with medicine; the function of an organ becomes obstructed; medicine, so far as we know, assists nature to remove the obstruction, but does nothing more. And what nursing has to do in either case, is to put the patient in the best condition for nature to act upon him.
